David Hill

David Hill has been making movies since he was 13, starting with Super 8mm films and later using a 16mm clockwork Bolex H16, which remains a prized possession to this day. At 18, he won the BBC Young Filmmakers' Competition on "Screen Test". After several years as an assistant film editor at the BBC, he studied at the National Film School, where he edited the Oscar winning, See You at Wembley Frankie Walsh and directed several films, including Sunday on Mars and The Traveller, both of which were shown on BBC TV.

Since then, he has focused on editing documentaries for TV and cinema, including Game Over: Kasparov and the Machine and the climate change epic The Age of Stupid, as well as many other RTS and Bafta winning TV documentaries for the BBC's Storyville and Arena series, Channel 4's Cutting Edge, and for channels such as ITV, HBO, Netflix, Discovery, and National Geographic. Additionally, he has edited TV commercials for British Gas, Cancer Research UK, and Bafta winning drama productions for the BBC and Channel 4. David still continues to make short films for the love of the craft today, just like he did when he was a teenager.
